Functioning as the Synergy Training Group's Medical Instructor, Wes Sutterfield began his career in EMS in 1995 at 20 years old as an EMT-Basic working for a rural ambulance service in Mississippi. 3 years later in 1998, Wes completed his advanced training and certified as an EMT-Paramedic. After working for 8 years in Jackson, MS for a private ambulance service, Wes completed training to become a Remote Paramedic for the oil & gas industry. After a 3 year run as a remote Paramedic, Wes transitioned into a primarily Safety role which he has now been performing for 18 years and counting. Wes has always held a passion for shooting sports and currently competes in the USPSA pistol and Multi-gun competitions regularly. Wes earned his USCCA Certified Instructor status in 2018 and began to fulfill his passion for teaching a subject he loves. Wes has been a Certified Medic First-Aid/CPR/AED with Advanced Bleeding Control Techniques Instructor for Adult/Pediatric/Infants for the last 16 years and Instructs the Synergy Defensive First Aider Plus course.
